We design, build and fly fixed‑wing UAVs.

  1. Design
  2. Build
  3. Flight test
  4. Deliver

XO11 takes fixed-wing aircraft from concept through design reviews, fabrication, integration and flight test, and delivers them only after they have flown.

01Engineering process

Seven stages. Four design reviews. No shortcuts to the air.

Every aircraft XO11 designs follows the same path. Four design reviews come before fabrication, and a flight test comes before delivery.
  1. 01 / CON

    Concept

The mission is defined first: what the aircraft has to do, how far and how long it has to fly, and what it has to carry.

  2. 02 / DES

    Design

The concept becomes an aircraft: wing and tail sizing, layout, weight budget and structure.

  3. 03 / REV

    Design reviews

    ◆ DR-1◆ DR-2◆ DR-3◆ DR-4

Four formal reviews, DR-1 to DR-4, between design and fabrication. Nothing is cut until the design has passed all four.

  4. 04 / FAB

    Fabrication

The airframe and its parts are built to the reviewed design.

  5. 05 / INT

    Integration

Propulsion, power, avionics and control systems are installed, wired and checked on the ground.

  6. 06 / FLT

    Flight test

    ◆ Gate

The aircraft flies. Its behaviour is tested against the design intent, and the findings feed back into the design.

  7. 07 / DEL

    Delivery

The aircraft is handed over only after it has flown.

04Why XO11

Built by someone who has already built a lot of aircraft.

XO11 is a young company. The engineering behind it is not.

  1. 01

    Fixed-wing is the focus

XO11 is built around one discipline: fixed-wing aircraft design, development and manufacture.

  2. 02

    One team, concept to flight

Design, fabrication, integration and flight testing all happen at XO11, so nothing is lost between hand-offs.

  3. 03

    Reviewed before it is built

A formal design review sits between the drawing and the first cut of material.

  4. 04

    Flown before it is delivered

Every aircraft XO11 designs is flight-tested before delivery.
